Hey y'all! So, here's the thing. As some of you already know, Adam Lambert (of AI and AI fandom fame) has put forth a challenge to his fans. He asked them to contribute to Donors Choose in his name, to support education for the arts.

The challenge opened on August 20th, and thus far, several fangroups, including ontd_ai_gives, have raised over $92,000. Yeah. Almost $100,000 in just over two weeks. Which is amazing, oh my god.

There's a project here: Jammin' Djembe Drums, which has been languishing, unfunded, since March. It expires today, and they need another $238 to meet the goal. The drum purchased would teach these children in Arkansas about music, about other cultures, and the sheer awesometasticness that is drumming.

I'd really really love to see this project get funded. There's about 8 hours left, but I'm flat out sure that it can be done. ontd_ai picked this project up, and they've been working miracles these days. That said, they surely could use some help. If you've got a buck, five bucks, ten bucks, think about contributing? I put $25 of the money my dad sent me for my birthday towards this, and count it as a great way to spend it. I'm hoping that some of y'all will too. :D


ETA: or, you know, if you want to give, you can go here and pick a project, since that one was funded in like, twenty minutes. O.o!!!

Yes, it's 14valentines time again! For those of you who aren't aware of it, 14v is a community dedicated to spending the first 14 days of February raising awareness about issues and organizations directly connected and relating to women and women's issues. Hey y'all! I know, long time no update. Don't think I haven't been making icons, I've just been hoarding them for 14 Valentines. Hee! I may very well end up being that insane chick who only posts the first 14 days of February, but if that's the case, there's gonna be well over 1,000 icons going up in those 14 days.
